Delivery Information

Shipping and Handling

Our delivery method for our large 15kg bags of food are a standard working 48 hour service. e.g. If an order is ordered on a Monday, we aim to have the parcel with you by Wednesday.

For all smaller products they are dispatched on a 3-5 working day delivery.

Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are based on the weight and spend of an individual order.

For orders 0-2 kg the cost is £2.99
For orders 2-5 kg the cost is £4.99
For orders 5 kg+ the cost is £7.99

Orders over £30 quality for free UK Mainland Delivery.

UK Highlands and Islands
There is an additional cost of £6 “per 27kg box” basis, e.g. if you order 1 15kg bag the postage cost will be £6, however if you order 2 bags the postage cost doubles etc.

Your order may also take an extra day or two to arrive depending on location.

Delivery Process

All deliveries will require a signature from the customer to confirm delivery, however if alternative arrangements or a request is made for delivery without a signature (e.g. leave in the porch.), then it is at the customer’s risk and Halsted Foods will not accept any liability for lost, missing or damaged goods.

If you are out when we the delivery is attempted a card will be left to notify yourself.  A redelivery attempt will be made the following working day. If this re-delivery fails the courier will hold your parcel for up to 7 days whilst you reschedule a future delivery. Should you not arrange for this to be done you will be charged for redelivery of your order.

Delivery Times
Please allow 2 full working days from the date of the notification email for the consignment to arrive.
If you do not receive your goods after 5 working days please let us know so that we can resolve the issue.

Delivery Instructions
During the checkout process you have an option to leave delivery instructions for the courier. If you request this parcel to be left in a safe place  you are responsible for the parcel after it has been delivered. Halsted Foods cannot be held responsible for any damages or loss as a result.

Alternative Delivery Instructions

By placing an order on this website you agree to be at the delivery address to received and sign for the consignment, provide delivery instructions with a safe place to leave the parcel or to provide alternative delivery instructions as listed below:

  • Delivered to and signed for by and nearby neighbour, colleague or friend.
  • To a workplace where the parcel can be safely signed for and recieved
  • To an alternative address. This option should only be used as a temporary alternative. Should you request that the package be delivered to an alternative address then you must ensure that someone is available to sign for it.

Failed Delivery

In circumstances where the courier has tried to deliver your consignment but due to no access or contact with you has decided that for what ever reason they can no longer deliver your parcel, they will either return the package to the sender or if the return is cost prohibitive, donate the food to a charity. Halsted Foods do not accept any liability where the courier has tried but is unable to delivery the consignment to you.

International Delivery

Currently do the the departure from the EU, DPD are not delivering anywhere outside of the UK. We are looking into alternatives and will update this page as soon as possible.

All additional postage costs are based on a “per 30kg box including packaging” basis

Delivery times to the EU will vary between 2 and 8 working days.

EU Zone 1
Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands & Ireland – £8 per 27kg box

EU Zone 2
Austria, Denmark – £18 per 27kg box

EU Zone 3
Check Republic, Italy, Slovakia, Spain – £25 per 27kg box

EU Zone 4
Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Portugal, Sweden Slovenia – £37 per 27kg box

EU Zone 5
Bosnia-Herzegovia, Croatia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Norway, Romania, Serbia – £47 per 27kg box

Returns Policy

Damaged Goods

On delivery please check for any damage to your package and ensure that the contents are intact.

If you spot any damage to the package or its contents or the contents are missing, please sign as “damaged”, “contents are missing”,”unchecked” if you are not able to check at the time of delivery.

Please contact us immediately if you have any problems and provide the order number and with details of the problem so that the situation may be assessed, you may be asked to provide photographs so that a claim can be opened with the courier.

Once the Damage is confirmed we will contact you to organise a collection from where and when the items can be conveniently collected. We will arrange to replace or refund your order, which ever your preference, as long as you notify Halsted Foods of your decision to process a return and refund within 14 days in line with Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Un-Damaged Goods

If your order is delivered correctly and you change your mind or simply want to cancel your order please notify Halsted Foods within 14 days. Once we have acknowledged your request to return the goods for a refund, you have a further 14 days in which to return the goods to Halsted Foods address (Below).

You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, we recommend that you take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.

If you change your mind after you have placed an order but before delivery, we may incurr a charge for the returned goods, this cost will be deducted from your refunded amount.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition, please note we can only accept unopened products.

All returned goods must be received by Halsted Foods before any refund can be issued. Your refund will be processed as soon as possible once in receipt of those goods, but please allow up to 30 days.
